As we pass the midpoint of the year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on our progress so far and anticipate what lies ahead for us. 2023 has been an incredibly exciting year so far for emc design. If you’ve been keeping up with us, you’re likely aware that we recently relocated to a new office or, rather, returned to our cherished Grade 2 listed building – our beloved barn. We have implemented a hybrid operational model, have lots of exciting projects and new clients in our pipeline and now, with great excitement, we announce the expansion of our team.

Qualifications and Attributes
Ideal candidates will have a degree or HND in Typography or Graphic Design, along with up to 2 years of industry experience. We love taking on graduates straight out of Uni so work experience is not a must and many members of our team joined as graduates and are still with us today.
Creative ability, particularly in the realm of editorial design, is absolutely crucial. Your daily tasks will involve utilising your skills to create visually appealing and impactful designs, contributing to the development of educational materials that inspire learners worldwide.
Continuous learning and tools of the trade
At emc design, we understand that learning never stops, especially in the ever-evolving landscape of graphic design. As a Junior Designer, you will have the opportunity to expand your skill set and knowledge through hands-on experience and collaboration with our talented team. Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, is a plus, as these tools play a vital role in our design processes. As well as knowledge in UI and UX design principles and some ability in XD and Figma. We provide full training in all tools and software.

In addition to these technical and creative skills, we also value your communication prowess, both written and verbal, as well as your exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
