This week has seen the first major Publishing house set up a digital only imprint. PanMacmillan Australia launched “Momentum” this week in a flurry of Tweets. This is an exciting step for those digital loving fiends. But also truly heralds the point of no return. The digital book is definitely here to stay, the only question surrounding this is in what guise?
With new technology being released every week (it certainly feels like that much at the moment) it is going to be interesting to see how a purely digital imprint keeps up with the speed and demand for change and improvements to digital.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see but it’s going to be an interesting one to keep our eyes on!
