Full-time, middleweight designer

As a design led company, eMC has grown on the strength of providing highly creative solutions with an eye to accuracy and quality for the UK’s top publishers. We are currently looking for an additional middleweight full-time designer. The position requires designers with a good graphic design degree and at least one or two year’s experience working within the field of editorial design. Experience of Adobe InDesign (mainly), Photoshop and Illustrator is essential.

Salary is from £17,000 to £25,000 depending on experience. A contributory company pension scheme is in operation. Moving expenses will be considered if you are applying from outside the Bedford area.

Freelance designers wanted


We are always on the look-out for good freelance designers to work on educational book production. You should have a graphic design degree with at least three year’s experience working within the field of editorial design (books or magazines) or some experience of working on long structured documents in a production environment. Experience of Adobe InDesign (mainly), Photoshop and Illustrator is essential.

We do require our freelancers to come and work here in the studio (we do not put work out) so you should be relatively local to Bedford. The maximum hourly rate is £15 depending on experience, plus travelling expenses.
