BookMachine

[http://bookmachine.org], an event series and online networking service for the publishing industry, has partnered with organisations across UK, US, Spain and Canada to host 6 events in 6 cities on 25th September 2013.

BookMachine’s goal is to promote the culture of collaboration in publishing and help professionals in and around the industry to connect. September’s global event also celebrates the beta launch of the new people discovery platform BookMachine.me [http://bookmachine.me].

The event takes place in New York, London, Toronto, Barcelona, Oxford and Brighton. Top speakers include Eric Huang (Made in Me), Julia Kingsford (CEO, World Book Night), Sophie Kahan (Kobo), Emma Barnes (CEO BiblioCloud/Snowbooks), Julietta Lionetti (Consultant) and Brett Sandusky (Bdigitl Media Labs).

Early-bird tickets go on sale today. Guests at each event will be greeted by a host, and each city has local sponsors supporting the event with drinks, prize draws and special offers.

Charly Ford (Project Manager at Osprey Publishing) is hosting the Oxford event for the fourth time: ‘Organising and hosting BookMachine events in Oxford is fantastic – they bring in such a friendly and welcoming crowd. It’s so exciting to see a roomful of publishing professionals making new contacts and catching up with people they already know!’

In a rapidly evolving industry, BookMachine offers an informal meet up for professionals, where they can pick up and discuss new ideas, kick-off brand new projects and expand their network of contacts.
