Upcoming ELT events and conferences

As a design agency that has a specialism in designing for the English Language Teaching (ELT) market we have a particular interest in ELT events. We find it’s a great way to keep up-to-date with what’s going on in the industry both from a publishing perspective but also from a teacher and student one. So we thought we’d just give a quick run through some of the events that are coming up that we’ll be heading to or keeping a close eye on via social media.

October
Today is the Image Conference in Malta. Following along on Twitter using #eltmalta2016.

The British Council and Future Learn have teamed up again and will be running Teaching for Success: Learning & Learners from 10th October online.

Language Show Live kicks off on 14th October at Olympia in London – a massive three day conference and exhibition providing plenty of CPD opportunities.

Oxford University Press have a host of webinars throughout October:
12th & 13th – How to use Mobile Technology in Class
19th & 20th – Linking your Classroom to the Wider World
26th & 27th – Bringing Grammar to Life

November
Macmillan English is once again hosting their 5 day Online Conference in November.

IATEFL’s Business English and Materials Writing SIG’s have a joint conference coming up 4th-6th November in Munich.

December
MaWSIG are having a Christmas Meetup on 15th December in Oxford. More details to follow.

January
On Friday 27th January Karen White and Helen Holwill host the 3rd ELT Freelancers Away Day in Oxford – a really practical and useful day for anyone working within the freelance ELT world.

If you’re planning to go to any of these events let us know so we can arrange to have a catch-up – we’d love to see you!
