With the rain we had last week and continuing into this week, plants will be growing well and putting on a fine display for all to enjoy. One of the finest natural displays of the summer season must surely be the sight of lavender, followed closely by the large yellow heads of sunflowers, and right now is a great time to experience both of these plants in flower. It is possible to see the two blooms in large fields like Hitchin lavender in Hertfordshire.

With the summer holidays now in full swing and the schools off up and down what better way to while away a lazy summer day than enjoy such floral splendours, something all ages can appreciate!
